The CARBOrefit® procedure offers the possibility of preserving structures, avoiding demolition and repairing damage, which would either not be possible at all or only at extremely high resource consumption and cost using conventional strengthening methods. Buildings of social and cultural value - such as residential and office buildings, meeting places, car parks, bridges and monuments - can be preserved and continue to be used.
This makes a significant contribution to achieving the construction-related climate targets and to our quality of life. Below we present some of the projects where the CARBOrefit® strengthening procedure with carbon-reinforced concrete (CRC) has been successfully applied. The CARBOrefit® approval Z-31.10-182 provided a solid regulatory basis for the use of CRC in most cases, even when a project-related approval was necessitated due to special requirements or deviations from the scope of the general approval.
